Who We Are
Fabrication Automation, LLC was established in March of 1997 by Brian O’Hara. The current owner, Randy Stewart, came on as a partner in October 1997. In October 2001, he bought the business, becoming the sole owner and General Manager.
In the early years, Randy did all sales and service on his own, with an Office Manager running A/P and A/R. Over the years, the team has grown and now, in addition to Randy, there is an Office Manager, Service Manager and 3 field service technicians.
Fabrication Automation specializes in new and used equipment, accessories and consumables. We take pride in the fact that all the products we offer are made in the USA. We strive to exceed customer’s expectations. We service all the equipment we sell. We prefer to take the machine from the cradle to the grave. We do this with honesty and integrity.
Our headquarters are in Concord, NC, just outside of Charlotte. Our sales and service support covers the Southeast: North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama and Northern Florida.
Community Involvement
Fabrication Automation has a heart for community service. We strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Being a leader at Connect Christian Church has given Randy many opportunities to support various ministries. He is very involved in The James Gang, a men’s group that offers assistance to single moms and widows. They have also built handicap ramps, installed doors and windows and various other projects to help those in need.
Some of the local ministries that FabAuto supports include Cabarrus Women’s Center, Present Age Ministries, Wings Of Eagles Ranch, Mom’s EDGE (Single Mom’s Group) and Cooperative Christian Ministries. We also support missionaries from Africa and Mexico.
Our Staff
Randy Stewart
General Manager
With 30 years of experience in the industry, Randy can address any question you have regarding sales support, installation, maintenance, service and repair of your current equipment, as well as advise you on what equipment you may need to run your business most efficiently.
Randy is certified with Lincoln Electric and Hypertherm. He has extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge, as well as technical expertise.
Randy’s primary focus is currently on the sale of products, meeting with customers to evaluate their process and help them increase their productivity.
Randy is married to his wife Jodi and they have two grown children, AJ and Allison. He enjoys vacationing at the beach, fishing and attending Cleveland Indians games.
Kerri Corbitt
Office Manager
Kerri has 10 years experience in management, and has been working in customer service for over 20. Having been in this industry since 2014, she is familiar with our vendors and equipment and is happy to help with scheduling, pricing, ordering parts or consumables and getting your questions answered. She works closely with our customers to make sure they get the personal attention they need.
Kerri is married to her husband Matt and has two grown children, Mikayla and Keegan. She enjoys hiking, gardening, kayaking, reading and decorating.
Scott Brown
Service Manager
Scott brings over 30 years of industrial maintenance experience to the team. He is a US Navy Veteran and an Electronics Technician by trade. He started in this industry 20 years ago and left to pursue other opportunities, but his career has always been focused on industrial maintenance. As a result, Scott has extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Scott has completed training with Torchmate and is authorized to work on their equipment.
Scott is married to his wife Bonnie and they have two grown children, Cameron and Charlotte. He loves watersports and bicycling.
AJ Stewart
Consumable Sales Representative
AJ joined the team in 2018 after graduating from NC State University. He spent several summer internships doing fieldwork and research, as well as developing computer, mechanical and technical skills. He has worked part-time for Fab Auto for many years, so he is very familiar with the industry.
AJ has completed training with Torchmate and is authorized to work on their equipment.
When he’s not working, AJ enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and cooking.
Darin Thompson
Field Service Technician
Darin is a Veteran, having spent 8 years in the Navy. His career since then has been primarily in Industrial and Electrical Maintenance. He is engaged to his fiance, Jenna, and has 2 grown children, Will and Josie.
When he isn’t working, Darin enjoys boating on his Sea Ray, as well as hiking and camping in the mountains.
Michael Bridges
Field Service Technician
Michael has 2 Associate Degrees, in Computer Engineering Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology.
He has a 10-year-old son, also named Michael, and loves to ride his motorcycle in his spare time.
Michael is completely remodeling a home, which he plans to move into upon completion.

Beam line with a robotic cell and a high-definition plasma for processing structural steel.
